Under the Prime Minister’s Atmanirbhar Bharat vision, IOCL has developed AV Gas 100 fuel, which had previously been imported at a high cost. It will ensure that all of our flight schools and other smaller aircrafts that use AV Gas 100 LL can buy it locally and save money.

Growth in the Aviation Sector and training infrastructure required for training pilot is set to increase in the future. Indigenous fuel will cater in dealing the future challenges by providing cheaper and efficient alternative.

At the moment, AVGAS 100 LL is entirely imported. Indian Oil’s domestic production of AVGAS 100 LL at its Gujarat Refinery will make flying training more affordable in India. The availability of AV GAS 100 LL in the country will help reduce reliance on imports and address the associated logistical challenges. With the availability of this product in-house, the country will be able to save valuable foreign exchange.

It will also make a significant difference in exporting fuel to areas and countries that require AV Gas 100 LL fuel.
