AI and autonomous technology will reshape how businesses operate and will aid in the resolution of some of the industry’s most pressing issues, such as optimising manufacturing or managing energy and climate systems.

TCS reported strong revenue in the second quarter of fiscal year 23. Revenues increased 15.4% year on year in constant currency. The company reported revenue in INR of 553.09 billion, an 18% increase year on year. The net margin was 18.9%. For the quarter, the effective tax rate was 25.7%. The Board of Directors has proposed an interim dividend of INR 8 per share.

TCS has announced a collaboration with Microsoft to leverage its deep domain knowledge in industrial control systems for further strengthening its presence in the digital manufacturing process.

TCS will use Project Bonsai to create new AI-powered autonomous solutions.

Project Bonsai will be a low-code AI platform built on the Microsoft Azure Cloud platform.

TCS will use the low-code platform to speed up the development of cutting-edge, autonomous solutions capable of sensing and responding in real time to optimise equipment and processes.

These solutions assist businesses in modernising their manufacturing processes while reducing downtime and material waste. It will also improve quality and throughput while also increasing employee safety.

The solution will aid in the optimization of manufacturing yields, chemical processing, logistics and supply chain optimization, and energy management.

TCS’ deep industry knowledge and expertise in autonomous systems, according to Siva Ganesan, Global Head, Microsoft Business Unit of TCS, will help clients accelerate their manufacturing technology transformation.
