TCS Ranks Second Most Valuable IT Services Brand Globally

During 2021 TCS achieved $25 billion in revenue for the first time in its history and registered an industry-leading operating profit margin of over 25%. Over the years it has become most valuable firm within Tata Group and have become leading IT services firm globally.

According to Brand Finance which is one of the world’s leading brand valuation firm, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has become the second most valuable brand, globally in the field of the IT services sector.  

Brand Finance ranks Global 500 IT Services firm and according to its latest ranking report TCS has grown its brand valuation by 12.5% over the last 12 months i.e.  by $1.844 billion, taking its total brand valuation to $16.786 billion. This growth in brand valuation is attributable to TCS investments in its brand, employees, enhanced customer equity as well as strong financial performance.

Over the years TCS have increased in Brand Valuation by investing in sponsorships of major brands and have made persistent, long-term efforts for boosting its brand.  During 2021, TCS has added to its kitty, TCS London Marathon as well as TCS Toronto Waterfront Marathon, taking it to a total of 11 running sponsorships in 2021. Further it has also partnered with Jaguar TCS racing team in Formula-E motorsports and have also forayed into golf through its partnership with the Dutch Open which is one of the most innovative and sustainable golf events of Europe

During 2021, TCS has also launched its ‘Building on Belief’ brand positioning as it embarks on transformation-led growth. The positioning will help in articulating TCS mission and relation ship with its customer. TCS has a reputation for caring for its employee which has also contributed towards its enhanced ranking.

Over the years, TCS have invested in building deeper capabilities around newer technologies, R&D, Innovations, IP’s and customer-specific domain knowledge. All these have resulted in making TCS a preferred partner for leading corporations across the world.

During Dec 2021 quarter (3rd quarter of FY 2021-22) it has achieved a revenue of Rs 40,845 Crore and has achieved a Net Profit of Rs 9959 Crore.

According to CEO and Chairman of Brand Finance Mr David Haigh, great achievement of TCS is the result of strong financial growth as well as continued investments in a new global brand positioning. Further, according to CMO of TCS, Mr Rajashree R, the second ranking is a landmark milestone for TCS and a validation of TCS increased market relevance
