Tesla 2022 Growth Target Misses Street Estimates

The company fell short of its goal of 50% year on year growth. To reach this figure, the company needed to sell approximately 14 lakh units, or 1.4 million vehicles.

Tesla produced over 439,000 vehicles and delivered over 405,000 vehicles in the fourth quarter. Vehicle deliveries increased by 40% year on year to 1.31 million in 2022, while production increased by 47% year on year to 1.37 million.

The company fell short of its goal of 50% year on year growth. To reach this figure, the company needed to sell approximately 14 lakh units, or 1.4 million vehicles.

During the fourth quarter of 2022, Model S/X registered 20613 units produced and 17147 units delivered.

Model No. 3/Y 419088 units were manufactured, and 388131 units were delivered.

On a full-year basis in 2022, Model S/X produced 71177 units and delivered 66705 units. Model 3/Y registered 1298434 units produced and 1247146 units delivered.

Results are shorter than expectation as Tesla produced 930422 vehicles and sold 936172 vehicles in 2021 with a guidance of 50% year on year growth.

Tesla has announced that it will release its financial results after the market close on Wednesday, January 25, 2023.

It has also informed investors that its 2023 Investor Day will be held on March 1, 2023, and will be live streamed from its Texas Gigafactory.
