BluSmart Partners With Tata Power for Becoming Zero-Emission Company

TPTCL will provide 30 MW of capacity from the Tata Power 200 MW Solar PV power plant in Bikaner district, Rajasthan, under the terms of the Purchase Agreement to BluSmart. BluSmart’s partnership with TPTCL enables it to totally remove Scope 2 emissions from its existing 1.4 million square feet of EV charging infrastructure and future charging stations

BluSmart, which works in the eMobility ride hailing and EV charging infrastructure market, has engaged into a multi-year  Purchase Agreement for sourcing power   with Tata Power to get green electricity. This strategic relationship is a big step forward in BluSmart’s commitment to decarbonising transportation at scale and supporting India’s net-zero objectives.

An agreement has been reached with Tata Power Trading Company Limited (TPTCL), a completely owned subsidiary of Tata Power.

TPTCL will provide 30 MW of capacity from the Tata Power 200 MW Solar PV power plant in Bikaner district, Rajasthan, under the terms of the Purchase Agreement to BluSmart. TPTCL is ideally positioned in the power trading market, with a Category-I Trading Licence that allows clients to optimise their energy expenses and achieve their sustainability goals.

BluSmart’s partnership with TPTCL enables it to totally remove Scope 2 emissions from its existing 1.4 million square feet of EV charging infrastructure and future charging stations.

Post transition to green energy, BluSmart will become the first mobility player in India to with zero-emissions .

During financial year 2022-2023, Tata Power Trading Company Limited (TPTCL) made Rs 405 crore in revenue and Rs 21 crore in profit after tax.

Tata Power has had a big effect on building an EV ecosystem to promote EV adoption in the country. The Company is dedicated to playing an important role, among other stakeholders, in attaining the national goal of transitioning to electric mobility. Tata Power EZ Charge has worked with prominent OEMs such as Tata Motors, Morris Garages India, Jaguar Land Rover, and Hyundai Motor to establish EV charging infrastructure at their dealership sites. Along with this, it offers home charging installation services to Tata Motors and other OEMs.
